I'm guessing he went voluntarily. But yeah, I used to work in the public liason department for a mental health trust back in Nottingham, so I know all the things it takes to get sectioned. I have frequently been frustrated by soaps casually ignoring all those things. But if he went voluntarily, I guess, it was probably a bit easier. I don't even know what's going on with the storyline now. I just hope they're not doing a thing like they did with Andy on Emmerdale where it was almost like they were saying it was fine that he was being a twat and harming or killing women, because look, he's had a nervous breakdown, he's SUFFERED for it. But no, I don't know where they're going with it after last night.

I know, it was kind of ridiculous that the same reason why Eileen couldn't stop the cheque or pay it back straight away did not count when it came to Owen being suspicious about why the money wasn't in his account yet. It was just a writing thing so he could find out immediately that Eileen had ripped him off. He has done plenty of other twattish things though, like having his girlfriend's ex-husband beaten up because he was showing an interest in her again, and screaming at his youngest daughter and being really intimidating towards her when she dared to become sexually active having reached the age of consent. I am not a big fan of his, no. As for the roof repairs - I don't know. Owen came round and looked at it for her and said it needed £3000 worth of work doing straight away or it would just get worse, and maybe they are saying in these credit crunch times all builders, or at least all soap builders, want their money upfront. It was kind of a contrivance to get Eileen into this situation I guess. But I don't mind slightly odd soap writing too much to get Eileen into a main storyline again.

YOU'RE WELCOME DUDE, I THOUGHT I'D MENTIONED IT BEFORE.
