I would like if in a couple of years Nathan basically pulls the same trick on Declan that Declan did on him - comes back when he's trying to sell, uses a proxy and then swoops in at the end going mwahahahaha.
It seems like a pretty good way for them to get him back into the village, although obviously not if Declan has to leave for him to come back. Maybe just if he's selling the tenancies or something. On the other hand, Lyndon Ogbourne has said that he like to come back in the future and "it'd be good for someone to teach Cain a lesson". So my idea was for where Charity and Jai get the deed to Wishing Well cottage, but either don't develop it straight away or agree not to develop it through various interactions with the Dingles. But then a year or two into the development some new company is really interested in buying the flats, really REALLY interested, and so Jai and Charity sell but make sure the new businesspeople know that they've made an agreement not to do anything with the Dingle land. And then the head of the new business turns up, and it's Nathan. And he either takes great pleasure in knocking down the Dingle household and not offering much compensation, or doesn't and swans around the village doing his usual thing, but making it pretty clear to Cain that if he wants to, or if Cain bugs him, he can.
OR, it's just in a few years or so, and Declan has this new business deal he has to try to make with the owner of some new company, and he kind of has to make it, he doesn't have a lot of options, but he thinks it'll be okay, he can just go in and charm the guy. And then he goes in, and it's Nathan. And Nathan just looks at him.
That - I don't even know where that reaction to the storyline would come from, haha.
Basically they're just really unimpressed with John and Moira's parenting skills and handling of Holly's drug situation (although I don't even know how they're in the running for bad parents when Natasha was so recently on screen), and yet they're always mentioning how hot John and Moira are. So yes. Not great parents, but as sex symbols they're second to none. Genius.
