I have only seen the second episode thus far, so I will reply to this now and the other part of the entry…probably Monday.
I am pleased that she’s finally decided to take all the blame; it may be the only time in this storyline she’s thought about her children rather than herself (although as you note, she keeps manipulating). Although also it would take a lot more time to deal with if she didn’t.
I also think the upshot of the Wylde storylines, when you look at the progression, is that Nathan and Maisie are about equally screwed up. IDK.
I think you’re probably right about what Natasha said to Nathan, if they did speak. 99% sure it would have been about looking after Will and Maisie.
Declan’s probably still doing the same as Maisie, struggling with not being able to legitimately hate Nathan for murdering Mark like they have been doing. I hope they are going to have a conversation at some point (and frankly if they don’t I will probably write it anyway).
Cain is a git and I hate him, and I really want Charity to dump him. And Pollard was annoying as well – he couldn’t have been any more obvious about the sudden interest, ffs. And if they'd sai 'actually, we can't go any higher', he'd have been stuffed, wouldn't he?
I did find it a bit odd when Maisie walked into the house, as she seemed like she was expecting…something else? IDK, she looked really scared and I couldn’t work out why – if anyone was in a position to be afraid at that point, it’d be Nathan.
I think the problem with Nathan framing Ryan now is that there are three people who’d potentially be in trouble if it comes out – Nathan for framing Ryan, Cain for kidnapping Nathan (and the wallet), and Maisie for hurting him (although I doubt Nathan would press charges, if it came to that). I hope it doesn’t, in a way. I can’t see who it’d help (although Nathan’s probably going to be in trouble when Ryan comes back anyway, so that coming out might make for a big exit storyline).
I’m not sure either of them are suitable, really, but presumably they haven’t got much of a wider family to go ‘do you maybe want to go and sort your own shit out before trying to take care of a child?’
I would like a Nathan/Declan scene soon, because I have written a bunch of stuff that needs tying together and I want to know how it’s going!
