I've started reading Pet Sematary, in my usual method of waiting until a probably shit film makes a Stephen King book seem very interesting, and then wanting to read that book. I expect not to be able to look at my cat or dog in a few weeks. Or any children. It's not quite the set-up I always imagined for Pet Sematary - like I assumed the 'raising things from the dead' part was just something everyone in town knew, but never spoke of, until the occasional tragedy happened, which doesn't appear to be the case? As such, it's taking a while to get to the spooky stuff. It's not been that long, but IT was a very powerful opening, so you know. Mostly so far it's about a man who really loves his son, and wants to hit his daughter, and the usual array of bad women who are fat, and good women who are 'like children'. No woman 'so beautiful it's like she's not even a human being' though yet. Also, he's made some reference to the Pet Sematary being sinisterly near some "Indian woods", and ????? But I'm hoping to enjoy it more when it goes on. It's still a Stephen King book, it's still amazing.

It's such a relief having K back at work. I barely speak to my manager anymore, I think he prefers it that way.

I'm very much looking forward to Easter and the long weekend, and then the slightly shorter weekend and Days Gone, though.

My mum's been struggling to buy some of the food we usually buy lately, and I'm guessing it's because of Brexit. Thanks Brexit.
