Aug. 26th, 2014 05:24 pmYesterday I went out to volunteer, as I had arranged to do last Wednesday. When I got to the volunteering place they weren't there and the place was locked up. Hmmmmm.
Then I went and bought a tub of Ben & Jerry's Choc Fudge Brownie at the Wakefield Morrisons because they never seen to have any at my local one, and I was hoping the weather was cold enough that it wouldn't melt before I got home. But indeed it had, and it turned out my mum already had one in the freezer she hadn't told me about. Apparently it's a bad thing to refreeze ice-cream after it's thawed, so I ended up eating it yesterday when I didn't really want to. I understand that's hardly a complaint, "Oh, I had to eat a tub of delicious ice-cream!", but I really do prefer to do it when I actually want to.
And then last night I was watching a video on Youtube, and then suddenly the Driver crashed, according to the little alert at the bottom of my screen, and when I tried to reload the video when everything seemed fine, I got a Blue Screen Of Death and my computer restarted itself.
So yeah, yesterday was kind of a wash-out. And I'm probably going to spend some of tonight backing up my files.
I got a missed call from someone about an hour ago, and when I called them back the voicemail message sounded like the guy in charge of my volunteering place, so presumably he's trying to get in contact with me. I've just sent him an email anyway, so we should get in touch one way or another. But it might have been nice if he'd tried to contact me yesterday while I was waiting in the rain outside a locked office on Bank Holiday Monday. Or even before then! Who knows.
