Jan. 21st, 2011 10:54 pmHaving made no progress on my bedroom so far this week, I tried to make a start on it last night. This was shortly followed by me opening the new Jon Burgerman figure I spent the last of my Christmas money on and immediately dropping it so it banged against a desk and a chair and is now covered in so many marks some must have happened before it was boxed, but I can't tell if all of them did; me trying to fit a new necklace made partly of peacock feather into one of the drawers of my old jewellery box, trying to get some loose strands of one feather into place and as far as I can tell scratching it and taking some of the blue off the middle; and no less than four powercuts. Maybe I'm just not supposed to tidy my bedroom.
Anyway, I carried on today by trying to sort through my jewellery collection and spread it out between my old jewellery box and a new one I got for Christmas. I HAVE A LOT OF JEWELLERY AS IT TURNS OUT. AND MY NEW JEWELLERY BOX IS SMALLER THAN I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE. You were going to get pictures, but it turns out even after I set up my digital camera software on my new laptop, and put new batteries in my digital camera, my digital camera software won't accept the fact there is a digital camera plugged into it. And it's not even the whole collection. My mother has suggested the revolutionary idea of not buying anymore, or of wearing some of it. I'm taking it under advisement. For now it's sort of spread out all over my bed (some of it), waiting for me to try to organise it an not let it get tangled up or scratched, or clumped together so I can't see any of it. However, as I've said, the drawers in my new jewellery box are a lot smaller than I thought they were, and the hooks in the side cabinets - like every jewellery stand I have ever encountered so far - don't actually seem to be big enough to hang necklaces off of. Nearly, but mostly the pendant bits just have to sit on the floor and try not to scratch each other. It's not ideal. But I'm going to have to fit them in somehow.
In other news, I love sharks. In case I hadn't made that at all clear in the last few years.
