Various fannish meanderings
May. 9th, 2007 08:42 pmI had pizza tonight! There's something quite pleasant about staying in with pizza when it's raining outside. Also there were onion rings, and I remembered to tip the delivery guy for the first time ever. Which was win.
Emmerdale was rubbish tonight. There were no King brothers in it at all. IT'S LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT MAKES EMMERDALE GREAT. Next Thursday we find out who killed Tom King, in a big hour-long episode. I was going to do a big post in the run-up, of all the suspects and why I think they did or didn't do it, but I keep getting conflicting information from the TV mags and just can't be bothered. I'm pretty sure it's not Carl though. Though obviously, that's a lie.
( Possible spoilers )
Yesterday they had an hour-long episode for no reason at all, featuring a fabulous tracking shot of Matthew chasing Carl down the street because Carl knew about Jimmy running off and didn't say anything. He hates it when Carl doesn't tell him things. I will probably be less obssessed with Emmerdale after next week, when I can stop worrying they're going to take my favourite characters away from me. Probably.
Otherwise, it's all been pretty much the same for me. Still helping with the stocktake at work. This means I get to spend my days matching up numbers with other numbers. Exciting. And enjoying the internet at home, of course. Without having done any of those useful things I was going to do when I got the internet. Whoops. And I've been thinking rather a lot about Spiderman (3), but I was reluctant to bore you with that.
( Except for the part where I do - vague possible spoilers for film 4 at the end )
Apparently I'm one of a few people on my flist who thinks the Spiderman movies should have more of a fandom. Annoyingly there are already a few communities for it, just not very active ones, so I can't really follow my instinct to make a new one. Hmph.
