Wheee, my parents came down yesterday. We did not do very much that was glorious, just went round the town and for coffee and pizza and such. But they bought me a necklace and a book and some halloween chocolate from Marks and Spencer's. I feel like one of those bored, intellectual princesses you see in films. Yay. And we went to see Wallace and Grommit/The Curse of the Wererabbit. I like Grommit. I preferred the one with the sheep and evil robot. Yes. Got home very late, read until even later, and then completely STOLE an hour from time, so I got to to stay up even later! Oh yes ::skillz::

Parents also brought new family drama. Those easily upset/who just plain don't care, look away now. Katie using heroin again. A week after moving into her new house with her baby. Sigh. Jack is apparently as happy as larry, since she's all chilled out and playing with him a lot. So long as she's still feeding him and taking care of him and such, I suppose. She's got an appointment with the clinic again this week, but apparently this is pretty much her last chance. And with mum, so mum says. But to be fair, she does say that a lot. I really can't see her ever getting out of it completely if she doesn't sort herself out now though. Just have to wait and see, I suppose. ::double-sigh...::

I have random spots all over one of my hands. Possibly I will go see the doctor. Hmmm.

Ooh, I watched QI. Stephen so blatantly wants to go to Belgium with Alan to see the carrot museum. And to Canada to see the lakes. Verycoldskinnydipping!fic? Perhaps. Although Alan woul probably mostly hang back and be all 'yeah. wow.', and enjoy the parts in the hotel room most of all. Yes.

A new person has turned up on slashysouls! Our numbers grow every day! And if jekesta would at least watch the DVD I so kindly lent her, she could have an opinion on it all. But apparently not!

Reading more Lemony Snicket. I like Lemony Snicket. It confuses the hell out of me :)

Wanadoo still being complete wankers - apparently it's in the terms and conditions that we can't cancel the contract just because the wirelessness doesn't work. W. t. f?

And lots of people are writing Night Watch fic (well, relatively). And someone even wrote something that was vaguely Anton/Zavulon, which few people will understand, but is great. Yay. I have been hunting round the net for Night Watch screenshots, since apparently there ARE lots of Anton without things obscuring his face, and I was just being rubbish at it. I may have broken my floppy disk (ONE drawback of not having the internet at home). Feel free to point me in the direction of any pretty ones you've found :)

And some ideas that have randomly occured to me:

• slippery_fish suggested a bunny about Anton and amnesia, which is lovely but I think perhaps too much crack and would break my brain. But it made me think - what if an Other found out they were an Other, chose a side - and then lost their memory , got 'found' again, and picked the other side? Hmm...


• And just what the hell happens to an Other's human family when they 'find themselves'. Do they stay in touch? Get their memories wiped? And, more specifically, who the fuck is going to tell Yegor's mother what's happened?

I am really sorry about your sister. That looks a bit pants and like I should have more to say than just 'sorry' but I don't know what. I would hug you too but it might appear weird. Sorry.

In the book of of the Dark Mages still had his family, so I guess it's like have a secret life.

There are a bunch of shots I don't at all recognise, hmm. But I like all the new clearly evil characters, of which there are shots on the movie site galleries as well. I like the fact that despite their evilness and prettiness, Zavulon will blatantly never love them like he loves Anton. Yes :)

That's the weird thing with the book. It never really explains the mythology. Anton once mentions that Light Others tend to be with Others and Dark Others don't care.

They cut some scenes from the international version that are in the Russian version. For example, Geser first sends Ignat to Svetlana to seduce her in hope to reduce the curse but it doesn't work out. That scene was cut.

Thick luxurious black/dark brown hair, and big shiny sunglasses. He looked like a villain! He had not-an-ordinary-guy cool, which the director looked for for his Dark Others, apparently! And I'm sure I saw a shot of him kissing Alyssa's hand!

But anyway...

I was quite pleased because he looked like he'd be cool but annoying, and Zavulon could appreciate him, but also wish he'd go away, serving as a beautiful contrast for his enduring love for Anton, who is a bit rubbish sometimes but beautiful. And that would have made me happy. But now it's all gone wrong.

Maybe I overthink these things...

I haven't seen the complete Russian version yet but I remember the scene from the book and I know that it's in the Russian version so I guess it's Ignat.

But yeah, he definetly looks like a DArk Other. :D

I wonder why they cut the scene out for the International release...
