Tina is acting like a completely different person and every aspect of Kylie they're showing is the worst possible aspect.

It's actually really annoying that the version of events Gail told Sally, presumably to 'put her off', is actually closer to the truth than what everyone else seems to think happened. Even David? He wasn't shy about saying he wasn't trying to kill Nick when Nick was in the hospital, so I don't know why he's continuing to be now. And I don't know how Kylie can bear to get on her high horse with Leanne, or even David, when she sold her son twice. I don't know how the rest of them can bear to let her be on it.

And I don't know why Coronation Street are so happy to lean on the 'men hate spending time with their wives and girlfriends, hate their wives and girlfriends' trope SO much nowadays. Specifically with Steve, for a LONG time, but also with Tyrone and Jason tonight. I suppose with Tyrone they were trying to show how much better he has it now than he did last Christmas, but ffff. And apparently the 'all women are insanely jealous when other women are attractive' one is coming into play now as well. Fantastic.

With the Tina thing...all I can think is that they're really laying her behaviour on because of this supposed murder storyline that's coming up, and I hate it, and I hate that that's just become the standard nowadays. Having a murder storyline? Turn your victim into a pantomime villain! Characterisation be damned. And I'm forced to assume that Kylie's behaviour is possibly part of it as well - I know she has a fight with Tina this week, so it would make sense that they're having her be 'out of control' and have a public feud with Tina so she can be one of the suspects in this storyline. Or the obvious suspect, who everyone thinks has done it, so David can be the only one who believes in her and sticks up for her and they can reconcile that way. Otherwise, I don't understand at all what they're doing and why they're doing it. It's a shame the only way I can make sense of the storylines nowadays is by so heavily linking them to a storyline that I'm not sure is even happening, or if it is, WHEN it's happening. When I first started hearing about it people kept saying 'next year', which I guess could easily be in the New Year (if it's even happening). It certainly feels like they're building up to SOMETHING.

I hope David does go live with Roy after Hayley dies. He deserves to live with someone nice, who doesn't play games with him. DO YOU REMEMBER HOW QUICKLY BECKY GOT SORTED OUT AND WAS HAPPY WHEN SHE LIVED WITH ROY AND HAYLEY? It could be beautiful.

Also I finished the main quest part of Dragonborn, the DLC for Skyrim today. Frankly, I expected something more impressive out of killing Miraak than a couple of new Shouts, and the option to get rid of a bunch of perks I have painstakingly worked towards and chosen. But I suppose Dragon Aspect is probably going to come in super handy in the rest of the game, and if I can just randomly tame any dragons that attack me and then ride them that'll probably be pretty sweet as well. And the ACTUAL perks from the Black Books are pretty cool too - you don't know how often I have accidentally killed my followers or dogs by hitting them without meaning to when their health was low. Or how frustrating it was to never be able to use the lightning storm one because it kept nearly killing my horse.

And apart from anything it's just REALLY NICE to be back on Solstheim. Really weird, but really nice. In a way I do find it strange that they've made a new DLC that's basically just a throwback to the landmark - and possibly best - game in the series. But I suppose Morrowind had a DLC that was suddenly all about Nord culture, so it makes sense their Skyrim game would have a DLC that's suddenly a lot about Dunmer culture. I have to say it pisses me off that they don't have special dialogue options for Dunmer characters, so I have to ask questions that my character would know about and *I* - from playing Morrowind - know about, just so I can find out what they're doing with the lore in this game. The amount of characters that have said it's such a shame someone with Dunmer blood could know so little about their own culture, you don't even know. And I'm just like 'same'. But mostly it's worked out pretty well. IF ONLY THE GUARDS CALLED YOU 'SCUM'. Then I could feel truly at home. But mostly I'm loving it just the same.

I still have a bunch of sidequests to do and places to explore. Right now I've gotten into the middle of the Thirsk mead hall situation, and I'm guessing I can't get the two sides to live in harmony, so I'm going to have to choose between killing the adorable tribe of Rieklings or the fairly sympathetic ousted Nords. I DON'T WANT TO KILL EITHER. And I could just leave the quest unfinished, but I know that's no way to play the game. And I do want to see what happens when you finish the quest for one side or the other, or both. I suppose this is the 'Civil War' sidequest of the game. I just know I'm not going to feel good about it no matter which side I pick. Very MUCH like playing through the Civil War storyline. But in any case. My point is I still have stuff to do in Dragonborn, so no spoilers please, and I'm really enjoying it.

I don't get what the writers are doing with David's storyline. He didn't try to kill Nick in the car, but everyone thinks he did and for some reason he never actually contradicted that, and now Gail is conveniently ignoring that he apparently tried to kill Nick (even though it didn't really happen that's still what she THINKS happened) because she wants him back in the house? I know Gail's a sap but still.

i love Kylie, I don't even care. but yeah lol she did sell her kid, maybe best not to get on a high horse about things when there's that in your past.

Tina's character has been completely demolished, I am p unimpressed with the writers.

also they'd better not make Carla a suspect if they do do a murder storyline, she's been through enough >:[

I KNOW. It makes no sense. And all I can think is that they have no ideas for new storylines, so they're just trying to drag this one out for as looooooong as possible. David last night said to Kylie "if you had to sleep with someone, why did it have to be my brother?", which would have been an appropriate comment shortly after the whole thing came out, not three months later when he's trying to get along with her again. And yeah, when Nick was in hospital David was constantly saying "I wasn't trying to kill you", but now he's just not bothering? Ever? For some reason? I don't know what any of them are thinking. I'm assuming they're living in different timestreams where different parts of the storyline have already happened.

What I more meant with the Kylie thing was that every side of her personality we're seeing is my least favourite side of her. I do quite like her, I just find the way they link her scenes of crying because she hates herself and her scenes of making fun of her brain-damaged former fling quite mind-boggling. But then that's a problem with the entire storyline so far. So hard to tell what anyone's thinking. And as for Tina...I'm sort of assuming they had to rush through the Peter storyline because they had to get rid of Tommy so quickly, which is why it doesn't make any sense. But yeah, at the moment, I'm sort of wishing that she would just hurry up and get murdered already, if she's going to, because it's not like she's even really in the show now. And I also hope Carla gets left out of the murder suspect line-up, but I can't really imagine why they would drag her and Peter in if they were going to do that. Frankly, I hope Tracy is the only suspect and she goes to jail whether she did it or not. I also suspect Simon. But maybe they wouldn't go that awesome far.
