My favourite game in the Saints Row series is 2. Partly this is because I never finished 3 and still haven't finished 4, but I digress. It's still in my opinion the best one, and pretty much my favourite character is the bad guy - in as much as anyone in this universe is particularly bad - Dane Vogel. I LOVE DANE VOGEL. I kind of ship him with my f!Boss. So playing Saints Row IV made me think of Dane Vogel, naturally. Saints Row IV is doing a weird thing with taking you back through a lot of old storylines and bringing back a lot of old characters, including dead ones. But it still seemed like getting Dane Vogel back was a bit of a long-shot. So I did a google search for him, just as a refresher on his character so I didn't have to play 2 again - and I found out that Dane Vogel was 'cut' from Saints Row IV. Or not. There's a model of him, as well as a bunch of other old characters, suggesting he was intended to be a Homie (player companion), or might be in a future DLC pack. ASAKFJAILSKFJKLAS. Unless he has been cut.

And then today, out of nowhere on a storyline mission, the Boss randomly mentioned him, WHEN IT SEEMED LIKE SHE HADN'T THOUGHT OF HIM AT ALL FOR TEN YEARS. It was beautiful.

God bless mummy and daddy and please make Dane Vogel a homie in a future DLC pack.

One thing that IS annoying me about Saints Row IV though is the sheer amount of generic masculines I'm hearing, referring to my character, who I am playing as female. So female. There's a box and I checked it and everything. Like, I'm noticing it way more than I ever did in 2. Because the technology is so much better now everything can be tailored to you, except it's not tailored to you, it's tailored to the way the game company assumes you will obviously play it. My Saints Boss is a woman. And she doesn't need to keep reminding me of the fact with such new phrases as "Still think I'm just a pretty face?", "That's no way to fight a lady!", and "Damn, chipped a nail".

Also if the company made their extra special bonus pack clothing you get as a reward for - playing the game? - actually fit their female models instead of looking stupid as hell in the chest, that would also be awesome. Please stop reminding me I should be playing my character as a guy. And that I should be a guy. Thx.

Also, today my YN officially started calling me something along the lines of "Rachael". It sounds more like "Wey-dul", and he only calls me it when shouting up the stairs for me. But it's better than "daddy", or nothing. Woo-hoo!

On a less pleasant note, I also got a letter today from the Tribunal service, saying that a request had been made to see the reasons my appeal was allowed, and they were enclosing a copy for me as well. Which sounds like the Jobcentre are "double-checking" whether I really do deserve the ESA I was awarded at my appeal. Apparently the Jobcentre can overturn or refuse a Tribunal's decision, or appeal against it or something, but I'm assuming they don't do that very often or else there wouldn't be much point having an appeals system. If they were just going to say "no" anyway. So it's probably fine. Still makes me nervous though. Wankers.
