It wasn't BAD, but...::flails::
I accidentally put sugar on my Spanish Rice with Tuna. I TAKE NO BLAME for this, since my mum feels it necessary to keep all our white powders in randomly scattered, unmarked tupperware boxes!
It was sweeter than usual.
Emmerdale is very frustratingly keeping Carl and Matthew King far apart, ever since I missed the episode where Matt was 'sniffing around him'until the omnibus on ITV2, but shhhh!. I can only assume we're meant to see it as yet another toll being taken on Matthew in order to be with his unlikeable cow girlfriend. Oh, she is pretty. BUT HE CAN'T POSSIBLY LIKE HER! HE'S MET HER! And she's wearing a very masculine shirt like, all the time, lately. Trying to fill a void/confuse his instincts? Who can say?
I comfort myself by rewatching last week's omnibus, wherein Carl is a far better driver than Matthew, so should blatantly be driving him everywhere. And is the first to jump up and restrain Matthew when he gets into the church, and there is lots of touching, and pleading, and fearful looks, while Matthew refuses to push him away or scream at him as he does with EVERYONE ELSE. Also daddy King threatens Matthew with the loss of 'his money, his business, and his brothers', which is really lovely-ly wrong and possessive and objectifying, even in the assumption that he could stop Carl from being close to Matthew, and let's face it that's what he saying, since the loss of Jimmy (the one at the back) is a THREAT TO NO-ONE. And Matthew does stop and look at him for a moment for that comment. And no-one but me will probably understand this but it is BEAUTIFUL ALL THE SAME.
Matthew loves Carl. The end.
I have done nothing all day except stare at Amazon and Barclays in a vain attempt to buy more things than I can afford. And develop a suprisingly powerful hatred of the recommendations page. Also I walked into town (check me out) to look for the new Empire, and take back my Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, which they couldn't replace because they were all out of them. So a bit of a waste BUT I WALKED. For the first time in days. I win at random exercise.
Tomorrow I need to get: Empire and the new Doctor Who magazine, apparently. Also there will be new Green Wing. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! :D
