Eastenders update - Watching the omnibus today saw Dennis remarking that Andy 'just doesn't like women' - no suprises there - and that Jake and Danny are willing to do 'whatever it takes' to get Alfie to let them stay. Indeed. And this week apparently sees them inviting Alfie back into a life of crime (and debauchery), and alarmed at their old boss/'top' coming back into town. The nice thing about having a soap fandom is that you can rely on it to be dramatic, and it just keeps going. The unfortunate thing is that it's often goes right past you to, and you can't find DVDs for love nor money. Sigh. This is not going to help me focus on linguistics.
Decided to return to Nottingham early tomorrow morning, as I wouldn't have done any work tonight anyway. All I really want to do is go shopping, but sadly essays come first, and have deadlines (other than the end of January), so screw me. Managed to reserve some important books for Tuesday morning though, and have a fairly decent idea how my analysis will go, though probably needs to be much deeper than I'm thinking it does. Hopefully when I turn my full attention on it the ideas will just flow, as usual. Fingers crossed.
Was not hugely impressed with tonight's Marple - the detective was not at all foxy. Though 'Edmund' was quite sexy in an angry, intellectual way. And more lesbians, who seem to have been running wick in post-war England. But no gay people. Especially not gay detectives. Growl. Enjoyed The Boondock Saints last night though, very late and apart from the first 15 minutes. It's quite good - a DVD purchase might be in order. Smecker's fantabulous, and Billy Conolly is one of my new favourite movie psychos. And my brain proved its willful obscureness, by seeing the twincest (which is fairly easily found), but only really craving Smeckerfic. Smeckerslash, particularly. Ideally - Smecker/Il Dulce slash.
(Clears throat. Hates brain)
Anyway...I probably won't be posting again for a bit, due to lack of internet in Nottingham, and hopefully lots and lots of essay-writing. I'll probably be back at home in a week, anyway, if my sister can hold off giving birth for that long. Then I can focus on all my reading and my Middle English exam on the 20th...sigh. I think I may actually write some fic soon though, or I'm just going to explode. Or read something....but it'll have to be something pretty damn marvellous...
P.S. - That crazy brain of mine also briefly considered Leon/Boondock Smecker/Stansfield slash. Beethoven!sex? But the twins would probably kill Stansfield quite a lot first. But, oooh: Matilda could join their crazy crusade! And Smecker could get annoyed at her. Possibilities...

On the bright side, think of all the Comfort Sex to be had. Ben/Darren. Lee/Bombhead OMG the cuteness! They just tantalise me with all the hugging and crying and bonding those two do! Also, poor, adorable, character-raped Tony will be needing some comforting now Mandy's left him.
Debbie's killer/Dan (it would have happened one day!
HEE! *Is very happy*
Those two girls. Candy and Nicole. So gay. So gay. So very very gay. Who's betting that that stunned expression on recently-vomited!Nicole's face at the ned of Friday's ep was the light of realising "I fancy my best friend!"? And that the minute after the credits rolled on pissed!Candy saying "Happy new year!" Nicole grabbed her and laid one on her? Fingers crossed :).
