My main concern with the Witcher right now is that if I played it and finished it before, I could be looking up Witcher fic right now.
There's a dynamic in it I could enjoy. But it's part of the main story and thus I would probably get spoiled. Also 'don't read fic, it will set your expectations too high for the actual relationship', yadda, yadda. It's - a very checklist-y sort of game. Lots of quests, all over the map, and all of different levels, and you never know what level the next quest you run into will be, and constant inventory management, and constant checking of equipment to make sure you've got the best gear available, to complete quests, so you can level up and move onto other quests. It's fun, and I am enjoying it, but I feel like it's going to be a WHILE before I'm near finishing it. But. It's fun.
Every new bit of political news is just disappointing and tumultuous and a headache.
