Oh. David lied really casually to keep Gary's mum and Izzy from finding out Gary had been arrested, and then they were demanding to know if Gary had copped off with anyone, and David had to be all "No! Only with me!". And then he went outside and called Gary, and asked him to call him back just to let him know he was okay.

AND THEN LATER Gary finally got back from being at the police station and walked past the hairdresser's, and David jumped out and chased him down the street asking what had happened, and was he okay, and Gary was all 'Like you care', and they had one of their arguments in the street, while Gary blamed David and David looked all worried about Gary and pointed out it wasn't him who'd hit a policeman. AND OH. I LOVE THEM. I hope they stay friends, sort of at least. OH.

Also, I hate Owen. And I don't care about John Stape, except to hate him. The end.

I have to go have a bath now. And then maybe try on a new online-bought dress. Hurrah.

I'm guessing he went voluntarily. But yeah, I used to work in the public liason department for a mental health trust back in Nottingham, so I know all the things it takes to get sectioned. I have frequently been frustrated by soaps casually ignoring all those things. But if he went voluntarily, I guess, it was probably a bit easier. I don't even know what's going on with the storyline now. I just hope they're not doing a thing like they did with Andy on Emmerdale where it was almost like they were saying it was fine that he was being a twat and harming or killing women, because look, he's had a nervous breakdown, he's SUFFERED for it. But no, I don't know where they're going with it after last night.

I know, it was kind of ridiculous that the same reason why Eileen couldn't stop the cheque or pay it back straight away did not count when it came to Owen being suspicious about why the money wasn't in his account yet. It was just a writing thing so he could find out immediately that Eileen had ripped him off. He has done plenty of other twattish things though, like having his girlfriend's ex-husband beaten up because he was showing an interest in her again, and screaming at his youngest daughter and being really intimidating towards her when she dared to become sexually active having reached the age of consent. I am not a big fan of his, no. As for the roof repairs - I don't know. Owen came round and looked at it for her and said it needed £3000 worth of work doing straight away or it would just get worse, and maybe they are saying in these credit crunch times all builders, or at least all soap builders, want their money upfront. It was kind of a contrivance to get Eileen into this situation I guess. But I don't mind slightly odd soap writing too much to get Eileen into a main storyline again.

YOU'RE WELCOME DUDE, I THOUGHT I'D MENTIONED IT BEFORE.

I didn't see him kill Joy or let her die or whatever, I was out at my nephew's birthday meal and I never caught up. I can imagine it was just as ridiculous and awful and all about him as the other deaths though. I go on Digital Spy sometimes just to see what people are saying about the soaps, even though I often hate what they are saying. At the moment a lot of people seem to be talking about how much they love John Stape, and how he's just an idiot who keeps getting himself into terrible situations, and how he's never killed anyone on purpose, but he's a good husband and father. Because apparently hitting someone with a hammer and then convincing their parents to turn off their life support machine isn't on purpose. I'm never sure if those are jokes, I sincerely hope they are.

Maria did go out with Tony Gordon though, and that was far from a perfect relationship, but I LOVED IT ANYWAY, and found Maria really good in that storyline, so I forgive her some things. But yes, it is confusing why they keep writing Fiz and Maria as going out with terrible men. Confusing and irritating.

I KNOW HE'S BEING SUCH A DICK. The only time I like him is when he's being nice to David. And even that only happens rarely.

As far as I know the whole Wyldes/Lambs saga from Emmerdale is up on Youtube, which makes me quite happy. If any more of the episodes are up there that will ALSO BE A HAPPY THING DUDE.
