HOW CAN YOU FAIL ME LIKE THIS, TV? and Heroes

See, what you've actually done there, telly, is after quite a few months of me not watching anything particularly on tv except Emmerdale and Friday night comedy and Robin Hood, put two shows on I'd like to watch at the same time, on the same day, with no visible repeats. Bad form.

I'd like to point out that when I mentioned "incestuous subtext" yesterday, I was talking about Maya and Alejandro, not Peter/Nathan, which I think can just be taken as a given. I love how UNIMPRESSED she was with his bride. She was all "Why do people even have to date? Why isn't family enough?". I also love that they thought she was so against the marriage she POISONED THE ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY. Dude. Well done her for being a nun though.

Also, as much as I liked that episode yesterday, you have to admit that it was pretty bad planning on the Company's part. "Oh, where shall we put the guy with multiple abilities and is probably the most powerful of all of us? How about next to the 400 year-old who's quite good at recruiting people and we had to lock up for our own safety?". Maybe they had a cell shortage, and just hoped everything would be fine.

And if the nuclear explosion power was so dangerous, why did they ever let Ted Sprague go in the first place? It's logical problems like these you have to mostly ignore when watching Heroes.

Her hatred of her brother getting married made me all sorts of happy.

Heroes is disturbingly bad even when it's not being critically boring. You can sort of feel script writers CRYING INSIDE throughout. They need Chris Boucher (he wrote a lot of Blakes 7, he is perfect in EVERY WAY), they should pay him MILLIONS and he could REWRITE everything and be sarcastic at them, and then they could make it again. Only properly this time.

There are so many ways they could have done that scenario better than what was actually onscreen, as well as so many other storylines, and it's actually quite annoying. Five minutes, I think, is all it would take to look through a script and say "Oh there's a massive plothole". I am willing to bet your man Chris Boucher could do it better. I am willing to bet anyone and even just the script writers taking that five minutes could do it better.

Oh, I do quite love how everyone in Heroes is so CONFUSED AND ANGERED by people dating outside their families. Mostly I don't understand how Alejandro could see all those dead bodies and bleedy eyes without immediately flipping out because he totally TOLD Maya he didn't want her doing any tricks at the wedding! And then Maya could stare at him in dismay and protest that this wasn't one of her tricks!

IT WAS ONE OF HER ILLUSIONS! :D
