Yes, it's super lovely to watch. But unfortunately, even if I don't have to go out anytime soon, my parents will want to go shopping at some point, so it'll probably be a nuisance before too long. And when it melts, and it's still cold, you just have to deal with ice, which is much worse.

People are supposed to be staying in anyway, because we're under national lockdown again - people are only supposed to go out for essential reasons, or get exercise locally. So I have no idea where so many people were going, but I'm sure it was all definitely essential.
