I so agree with you about fantasy novels starring women. I've been going through GoodReads just to find some quality titles that feature women and other types of relationships in general for more varied/diverse reading...and so many of them happen to be older ones that are just still quite well-received because there aren't too many to choose from. Great that there are options out there and that my library has a few for me to check out (and that I can request quite a few titles to add to the catalog too!), but I always wish there were more of them out in the world...you know? I shall keep an eye out still to see if any look-to-be-decent ones show up throughout the year though. :)

Now that you mention it...gah, that is such a pattern for TV shows and it never does seem to be the opposite way around at all. 0_0; No wonder I usually just stick with my superhero Arrowverse or Animal Planet/Food Network shows these days. XD

Gah, I really hope the dog situation will be okay and that the new dog won't attack the older one if/when your sister comes to collect it. *crosses fingers* 0_0;

Speed-dating to make new friends sounds like something I would be all for too! I have my sister and a few friendly co-workers (though I don't often hang out with them outside of work), and that's...about it for my non-internet social circle just because I am not the best when it comes to making friends or being actively social myself. It would be neat to have something like that to help people come together! :D

A senstive mouse can definitely be quite frustrating. I can totally get what you mean there.
