It's fine! I don't mind when people fight with Tina, because she's been written as that sort of character to not back down from things, but when people are just horrible to her when SHE'S NOT ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING THAT WRONG, it really gets on my wick, and I don't understand it. Because they had a perfectly good storyline about Tina needing money, and thinking this was a perfectly good way to solve her problems, and probably finding out it's not that straightforward a few months down the line. So why they felt they had to add in people shouting at her for no reason, I don't know.

And the Kirsty storyline, yeah - I was so prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt at the beginning, when she was sort of just a bit extreme, and they acted like maybe they were going to give her a backstory to explain it. And I do like that they're dealing with domestic abuse, and female-on-male domestic abuse, which isn't done very often. But it just doesn't make any sense, because she already tried to KILL Tina. People already know she's a bit nuts. And I'm pretty sure Eileen heard Kirsty and Tyrone 'fighting' once anyway, so it just doesn't make sense that NO-ONE would believe Tina, or believe that Kirsty was capable of it. ksjdksj.

And if Izzy and Gary know, that just doesn't make any sense either. Izzy was not happy for her sister to go through with surrogacy in case it was too hard for her to give the baby up, so why would she be okay essentially paying Tina to do it? Unless she really just doesn't care about the problems it might cause for Tina, she just wants to be relatively sure she'll actually get the baby at the end of it. And even if she does, doesn't she realise that there might be some problems on that side of things too? Even with the promise of some cash at the end of it? Man.

And as for Karl, I don't know. The way Dev was treating Sunita was terrible, and I totally understand her leaving him. And she and Karl really clicked when they first got together. But now he just obviously doesn't care, and she always did and still does seem like she has too much self-respect to put it with that.

So yeah, it's incredibly frustrating. Because they have a bunch of storylines that are PERFECTLY FINE, but they just seem to feel the need to slightly overdo every one of them. And I don't know why!
