No, John's entitlement is totally the worst thing about him. Among many things. Wanking on about how he wants to teach, he loves to teach, so he should be able to teach no matter what he's done and what it suggests about his personality and suitability to be around students. And then when he got a job in the bookies about how numbers were fine, but they were no WORDS, THEY WOULD NEVER DRIVE A MAN (/PERSON) TO TEARS OR INSPIRE HIM (/THEM) TO GREATNESS. And then proceeded to just prove him wrong with her 'x days working in a proper job', 'y months until our baby is born'.
He's just a jerk. Even when he was in prison and him and Fiz were talking again, and she clearly still felt something for him, and he was just smiling and talking to her about them getting back together as though he deserved that, with like no consideration at all of how maybe he didn't deserve it, or she wouldn't want to, just as though it was alright and definitely going to happen because he wanted it to. I genuinely can't tell if Coronation Street is making out he's kind of a dick and a sort of crazy person, or if they genuinely think he's a nice person. The fact that he's started killing people now sort of suggests it's the one where he's a dick and a crazy person. But I'm still not happy about having to watch him. Dude. Ick.
