I am pleased that she’s finally decided to take all the blame; it may be the only time in this storyline she’s thought about her children rather than herself (although as you note, she keeps manipulating).

She does seem genuine when she's taking the blame for Nathan, and I was pretty convinced when she said she felt really bad for driving a wedge between Nathan and Maisie when she made him take the blame for the flowers. But to be honest, I'm half suspicious a lot of it is just manipulation again - like maybe the only way she can make herself feel better is to try to "make sure" her family are alright. So she's taking the blame more so that Maisie and Will will stay with Nathan, rather than to actually protect Nathan. Maybe not, maybe she genuinely does feel bad about how it all went for Nathan and for making him help. But she's done so much to him and to all of them that I'm not sure I'd 100% believe her at the moment.

I hope they are going to have a conversation at some point (and frankly if they don’t I will probably write it anyway).

Again, I'm not going to talk about it in case you haven't seen the episode yet, but - eee!

I did find it a bit odd when Maisie walked into the house, as she seemed like she was expecting…something else?

Yeah, I noticed that. Maybe she just was having flashbacks to how things were when she was last there, or in the past when she was living at the house, and thinking about how different things were now. Or maybe she was feeling the stress of what she was about to do, and whether or not to trust Nathan again. I don't know. And yeah, Nathan probably had more cause to be scared than she did, in a way. But Maisie doesn't seem to feel that guilty about what she did to Nathan, really, and the way Nathan has recovered seems to be suggesting that it wasn't that bad either (which I find hard to believe), so I don't know exactly how they're trying to play that. Which is a little weird.

I don't think Nathan framing Ryan will come out legally, because again they're meant to be leaving the door wide open for Nathan to come back, and I think any prison sentence would sort of make that more difficult. And I just don't think that's the kind of thing they'd be going for - I think if it was going to happen it would have happened when Natasha was arrested. But I do think Ryan and probably Cain and maybe Maisie or Declan are going to be trying to take revenge on him for it - from the sounds of the spoilers I've been hearing, that's pretty much exactly what's going to happen. And it may well be a longer term thing from Ryan - that would probably go along with the new 'dark side' he's meant to have when he comes out of prison. I'm a little bit worried but it's going to happen in the next few weeks anyway, so we'll find out. And it might end up with him going to prison. Who knows.

I’m not sure either of them are suitable, really, but presumably they haven’t got much of a wider family to go ‘do you maybe want to go and sort your own shit out before trying to take care of a child?’

Maybe he can stay with the 'Helen' he was staying with a few weeks ago, before the trial. I don't know. I think that Nathan and Maisie, working together and supporting each other, might have a better chance of taking care of him than either of them separately - but from the way things are going and the spoilers I've been hearing, that seems unlikely to happen. They've never mentioned any wider family, and obviously they never knew any on Mark's side. Maybe he'll get shipped off to a cousin or something. Because no, I don't think either of them separately are going to be very good for him at the moment. And, yeah, have their own stuff to deal with, which they could probably do better without having to take care of a Will as well.

I would like a Nathan/Declan scene soon, because I have written a bunch of stuff that needs tying together and I want to know how it’s going!

Eee!
