(and when he is, he’s boring, which doesn’t have to be true – Paddy, Marlon etc).
I have to admit, I'm not a massive fan of Paddy either - he's had some really weird attitudes to women he's fancied in the past, and I find the way he seems to see his relationship with Aaron (versus Chas' relationship with Aaron) a little odd sometimes as well. But he still has more lovely/funny moments than Ryan does when he's being 'nice'. And yeah, Marlon, Bob, Alan - they're all nice guys without being boring. I suppose, to be fair, he's done a lot of brooding since finding out he was Mark's son and he nearly slept with his sister. I think they've often portrayed him doing sort of 'heroic' things, like saving Will from a horse and facing off against Nathan after they found out he was Mark's son, when Nathan was acting out and doing pretty bad stuff. So he's sort of the Good Guy. But no, I don't really love him, and I don't like that he doesn't get called on the weird things he does. So I'm pretty firmly in Nathan's corner (obviously).
Hahaha, YES. I blame the parents
BUT HIS PARENTS WERE SO WEIRD. And he was so isolated and focused only on his family that you can kind of imagine they were the only examples he really paid attention to. Which Natasha probably encouraged when she wanted him to do things - above board or somewhat "underhand" - that benefited them and no-one else. Clearly he must have problems/a problem of his own, given that Maisie and Will turned out alright (ish), but I think having parents like Natasha and Mark most likely made things worse.
I think there were a few police cars, I seem to recall them sort of closing in. There must have been at least one with the uniformed police and one with the detective in charge of the case. I might check the episode again myself. I imagine all the kids got a lift home or to the hospital with the police - I can imagine Cain just skulking off more than I can him giving anyone a lift, frankly. I'm not going to assume you've seen the other episodes, just in case you haven't, but I will say that Nathan's recovery is IMPRESSIVE. And I'm not even sure he went to the hospital. And as for a Declan/Maisie or Declan/Nathan scene - eeee!!
