I know Nathan has done some bad things, and they were worse than what Ryan has done. But at least he's painted as a bad person, and it's made explicit that they are bad things, and he's often punished for them onscreen. With Ryan, we're told he's a nice guy, and then he does slightly weird stuff and no-one seems too bothered by it. So it irks me more than what Nathan does. Although having said that, Ryan is supposed to be coming out of prison with a new dark side, so maybe his not caring about Abi was supposed to be part of that. Sadly, James Sutton at one point said he was really keen when the whole prison storyline was over for Nathan and Ryan to become friends again at some point, and be an evil twosome living up at Home Farm and running around the village. That probably won't happen now :(
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH NATASHA CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE THINK SHE SHOULD GO TO PRISON FOR MURDERING HER HUSBAND. OH MY GOD, NATASHA. The thing is, the family is supposed to be a bit fucked up, I think - it certainly is now - but Natasha's the one kind of making it all or nothing. Either her kids don't send her to jail, or all the years she's loved them mean 'nothing'. I'll have to watch again I think to make sure that's what she actually said, but if it. Oh my God. And yes, they think Nathan is the evil one. He clearly has his issues, but Natasha was basically his main example of morality. Oh God.
Maybe the police officers helped them get back? I'm not sure, I guess Cain wouldn't have wanted to be seen there, but the police would have known Maisie was there, obviously, and she'd have to get Will back somehow. Maybe they got a lift with some police officers. With Declan - I don't know. Just help her generally, support her, offer money if she needs it, just do whatever she needs, I guess.
It's really hard to judge what will happen from what happened that night I think, because Maisie was still so convinced that Nathan was involved somehow. Things have progressed a bit tonight, but I know you probably didn't see it so I won't say anything. I can't say he doesn't entirely deserve it, or that Maisie isn't well within her rights to be completely appalled with him, but I can't see any ending that involves him losing his family not completely destroying him. They're basically all he cares about now, really. Oh God, Nathan.
