I found out about it through the Silent Hill thread on the coq board (http://plus4chan.org/boards/coq/res/11501.html), which has some pretty good fanart, and there are some LJ communities, including shslash. There's bits sort of all over the place, because it's a computer game I guess, though not all of it's exactly fannish.
