So, Rose came back and was as annoying as ever. With her teeth. People seem to be thinking they're a new thing, but no, they've been there since Season 2. Annoying me. And I quite hate her jacket. And, I don't know. She was acting like the Doctor, which was maybe a thing, but it just made her annoyingly smug. And even he didn't engineer people's deaths, and still laugh and giggle with them before revealing that bit of information. Although how Donna's whole "this world/this me is going to blink out of existence and be replaced by something better" thing was so different from her dying. Although again, even though Donna didn't save the world by herself with stories I think her throwing herself in front of a truck was more heroic. Or I liked it better. Something like that.
I like how Gwen and Ianto died in the fight against the Sontaarans and Jack was transported to their homeworld, and there was NO-ONE (worth mentioning) LEFT. Dude.
Alternate-Luke Rattigan fic, anyone?
Does this actually sort of prove that the Doctor's on his last regeneration, also? Although I suppose if he regenerated his next incarnations would drown too. We know he lives long enough to meet River Song anyway. Hmm. I didn't catch the first five-ten minutes by the way, so if there was an explanation of the beetle I didn't see it. I'm intrigued by the whole "You were so strong. What are you? What will you be?" thing though. I don't want them to ruin Donna by making her (more, now) special, but I'm interested to see where they're going. Does she get to be Bad Wolf next? Maybe all the companions will get a turn to be Bad Wolf. I think Mickey would make a good Bad Wolf. What I think would be really good, actually, would be if the Doctor died but left the TARDIS running and Donna and Mickey went round in it. Mickey has soldier/Cyberman-fighting training now, and Donna could yell at him not to be an idiot. And they could be Smith and Noble. Donna and Mickey, the WAVE OF THE FUTURE, I think you'll find.
(Does that make Mickey and Martha the real Smith and Jones, though? Is that possibly another unfortunate connection between them? Hm.)
Also, if I'm going to be listening to the Adam and Joe show with the music in, they're going to have to stop playing such beautiful songs. I can't afford it. If Fopp keeps selling CDs for around £3 maybe I can afford it. But still. STOP.
I got my mum a birthday present and card. I need to tidy the flat and do the washing. And I'd really like to get the plants potted soon, with my flat rocks from Scarborough, because the Busy Lizzies, which are growing and wilting and trying to migrate across the windowsill, apparently still have the red and white flowers I first saw on them, and I'd quite like them to live and keep growing. But I'm not going to do that while it's raining.
