Doctor Who 4.4 and 4.5 (Luke Rattigan)

I quite loved the young genius boy, Rattigan, in this Doctor Who two-parter. MY LOVE FOR A YOUNG MAN WHO IS SORT OF BETWEEN SIDES IN A DOCTOR WHO TWO-PARTER, SHOCKING I KNOW. There was a lot of annoyance mixed in with the love, but there was love there all the same. I like how he was rubbish, and I like how he shouted that he was SMARTER THAN EVERYONE and stamped his foot, and I like how he cried on the floor. I would have preferred it if he had gotten mad and used his smarts to KICK SOME SONTARAN ASS rather than having to die nobly to make up for his previous acts and to save the Doctor. I watched a film recently where a dude who had let someone else die to save himself didn't have to die at the end to make up for it, and it was quite refreshing. Maybe Luke Rattigan had seen Parting of the Ways and knew there was very little chance of the Doctor actually pushing that button.

Also I think it was quite sad that the slightly idiotic eighteen year-old who died to save them all and the Doctor didn't even get a mention at the end of the episode. But hey ho. I would have slashed him with the Doctor a bit, had he lived. And would quite like pre-episode fic where Saxon comes round to view the Rattigan Academy and give him some "career advice". Anyway. Donna is great. The two-parter was quite good. The Doctor was not too annoying. This is my opinion.
