Yeah, and also, Kirsty tried to KILL Tina last year, didn't she? Wasn't there a whole thing with a car crash, THAT KIRSTY CAUSED? Or does that not count because Tina didn't press charges, because Kirsty was pregnant? And no-one else EVER KNEW I guess. This is the problem I have been having with the storyline for a long while now - Kirsty is crazy. She acted very weird many times. It doesn't make any sense that everyone would just think she wouldn't ever do anything wrong.
And yeah, the Fiz and Tyrone thing is just weird. I didn't watch it, but it didn't seem like an immediate lovey-dovey relationship was exactly what was appropriate - a little bit like how they turned the Carla storyline into an affair storyline with her and Peter. Just to screw things up for her. It is the only way they can think of to turn the screw on Corrie, I guess. But the screws DON'T NEED TURNING. And Fiz could have continued to help him because they were friends, and because he didn't deserve to be abused or have his baby taken away from him. You know. Like human beings would do. Even heterosexual men and women.
And yeah, the false abuse claim thing is...a little weird. I mean, they're not exactly going "WOMEN LIE, MEN ARE GREAT", and it's not even the first time I've seen it used in an abuse storyline - in Emmerdale, Andy accused Jo of abusing him when she hit him in self-defense. But it was about two days before the truth came out about that in the show, I get the feeling Corrie will drag this out longer. And yeah, it still has the potential to be handled really badly. Just ugh.
