Supernatural S1 ending

THERE HAD BETTER BLOODY WELL BE A SECOND SEASON. THEY HAD BETTER ALL BE OKAY. THAT HAD BETTER ALL BE FIXABLE BY A GOOD MECHANIC AND BODYSHOP.
Right. So. We don't know anything. Besides that the demon was possibly quite attracted to both the Winchester boys, and hell, probably John. I'd seen a story with Dean/demon!John as a pairing, so I was sort of expecting the Big Twist, but it was still really, really beautifully well done. Demon!John was very convincing as an evil, bad sonofabitch that was after kids for some reason. I'm going to have to rethink the whole 'Sam has a Demon father' thing though, since it was really rather cut up about Meg and Random Guy. We can also possibly assume Random Guy wasn't going to kill Sam though, since Daddy has "plans" for him. Which makes that scene and their whole attitude to him rather interesting. Hmm.
But yay, I like Supernatural! I'm not sure if I LOVE it - wouldn't put it on the same level as Veronica Mars, at any rate - but they are very different shows, and the last few episodes has given a lot of good, interesting, gripping/touching stuff about the family, as well as the "Whee, fun!" stuff of the usual episodes. So I don't know. Mostly I'm just burning to see what happens in the second season. Even though it means going through ANOTHER 22 episodes before learning what the hell's going on. If we ever in fact do.
And I saw Provenance, and I UNDERSTAND YOUR ICON JEKESTA, I LOVE YOU.
Right. Off to read spoiler-infested posts, icons and slash now. Whee! :D

Date: 2006-08-27 12:58 am (UTC)OH GOD I LOVE THE ENDING SO MUCH. IT WAS SO PERFECT SO PERFECT. And it would have been perfect if there was not going to be a series 2 and it is perfect that there is and generally IT IS PERFECT.
And oh god with the whole him wanting him to shoot him and Dean there with his whole BEING PERFECT and never forgiving you if you did and I love that bit all very much too much and EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee:):):):):) SO MUCH LOVE. Yes.

But I don't think I would have been able to cope with it if it was just The End. Because then I'd never know what was going on, why Sam, who what how?? Heh. I don't think I'd even have minded the implied deaths, just not knowing!
The entire scene with Dean and Sam and John and Demon!John was PERFECT and beautiful, with the banter, and the two families, and the bleeding, and the shooting, but not shooting, and eeee, yes! It's all so fucked up and hopeless and pretty. And wooden. And I can read the slash and the spoilers now. Yay!
