I know Supernatural and Supernaturals are not the same thing, but every time I see you mention the former, I have to sing the song from the advert that, you know, advertised the merchandise that accompanied the latter. Thusly. And boomingly.

They are ghost things. I have a vague memory of them from the eighties. They had a cartoon, I think, and action figures, like most things from the eighties did, and the advert just sang the word 'Sooooooper-nat-r'ls' at us over and over again in a booming voice. I think their special selling point was holograms. Probably. Again, like most things from the eighties.
